People's Memorial Gathering 1-3pm Sat, 25 April 2009

Among other things, Steve Nelson was an occasional staff member and long-time working member ("HOO" or "hands on owner") at People's Food Co-op in SE Portland. Among his many contributions to the co-op were various parts of the green roof gardens, curbside rain plantings and the banana tree that dies and is reborn.

There will be a brief gathering to honor and remember Steve this coming Saturday from 1-3pm in the Community Room at People's, 3029 SE  21st Avenue (just north of Powell in) Portland, Oregon, 97202.

Please bring pictures and memories of Steve (at work and at play), even music. Don't forget the Nina Hagen and other delightful oddities!

    I hope I can make it to this. Once I went as Steve's date when he officiated the wedding of two lovely folks from People's. I'm still trying to dig up the pictures.
